  Updating my review from 4 to 5 stars based on a recent experience. Ordered takeout for dinner on a Friday through Grub Hub. Unfortunately, to no fault of the restaurant, a neighboring business was under renovation and the scent of chemicals used next door wafted over to Salad House. Due to the unpleasant odor, the business owner decided to close shop early as to not permit a less than stellar experience for customers.
  
  While en route to pick up my order, he personally called me to let me know the store would be closing early. He gave me the option to still pick up my food if I felt comfortable but made sure my purchase was refunded for the inconvenience. I decided to pick up anyway and, although you could definitely smell the chemicals from next door, the food was just as delicious as always.
  
  Working in marketing/sales myself, I can't tell you how much I appreciated the transparency, solid communication and honesty he exemplified by simply making that phone call. It is a customer service dream to feel valued and truly cared for by someone you know is going to lose money due to circumstances that are out of their control. Doing the right thing goes a long way, and I would now be willing to spend more money there in the future because I'm convinced they earned it. I hope this review helps them recoup what they lost! :)

  I have been to a lot of build your own salad places and this is hands down my favorite! The ingredients are super fresh and they make most of the sauces and even the croutons in house. All the bread is from Calandra's Bakery (Jersey's own) and this is an NJ started business! So cool!
  
  We had the avocado fritters (Panko breaded with spicy aioli.) AMAZING! The crispness with the avocado was the perfect snack. I'm literally obsessed with those avocado fritters!!
  
  The buffalo popper (buffalo chicken in crispy wontons.) SO GOOD. My boyfriend could not stop eating them. He devoured the whole plate.
  
  Their sandwich options have a wide variety and something for everyone! I had the crispy shrimp in a wrap and again the crisp, juicy shrimp with the avocado was so yummy!
  
  My boyfriend had the sweet heat! THE SWEET HEAT IS CRACK! You will not stop eating this sandwich. Crispy chicken cutlet, pepper jack, chipotle aioli, and mikes hot honey...I'm drooling.
  
  The build your own salad options are awesome! The ingredients are fresh and they have every single topping I want, plus some I didn't even know I wanted, where most places I have to settle for missing something I love and desire in my salads. I think the prices are affordable and come with a good amount of toppings for the price. Many of the Salad dressings are made in house too! So very fresh and delicious!
  
  I work nearby so I will definitely be ordering again! They can keep your customizations on file so you can order online or through grubhub, Uber eats, or door dash quickly to avoid the lunch rush. I came around 3pm and it was relatively quiet. Dave, the owner, is also super nice and everyone was friendly. The place was very clean too. Love!

  Honestly a huge fan of this place! Their menu is quite intensive, with tons of salad/sandwich options. The best part? You can customize pretty much anything to your liking! They even have the option of creating an account and saving your favorite customized orders. Everything is also SUPER fresh. I tried the sweet heat chicken and greek out salad, both were absolutely delicious! We just found the sandwich to be a bit dry and used the fritters' dipping sauce for the sandwich. Definitely try the avocado fritters though -- these are actually vegan! The location is also perfect, right next to my favorite hair salon in a very up&coming downtown.

  I placed an online order for a Build Your Own salad and loved it! It was EXCELLENT...absolutely delicious. All of the ingredients were so fresh, including the Ahi tuna. The salad was huge; it seemed never ending. The order was all ready for me when I went to pick it up (in about 15 minutes) and the guy at the register was super polite and friendly. I will 100% be coming back here...can't wait!
